Community Partnership: Safety Net Store

This February, join us for a bold 4-week journey into Biblical finance as we explore what it means to live with freedom, faith, and courage in our finances. Rooted in Romans 13:8—“Owe no one anything, except to love one another”—this series will challenge us to trust God, take wise and faithful steps toward financial freedom, and align our resources with His purposes. The series culminates on February 22 with a church-wide opportunity to take a daring step together as we work to eliminate New Covenant’s remaining mortgage debt and pursue a future unburdened and ready for God’s mission.
Family Ministries volunteers, we want to invite you to our Family Ministries Volunteer Huddle on Saturday, February 21, from 9 to 11 AM.
This event is for everyone who serves in Little Village, Kid City, The Pier, The Harbor, and Thru the Roof. We’ll have some breakfast items, spend time connecting, and talk through what’s ahead in Family Ministries.
Just like any healthy team, we need moments to huddle up — to connect, celebrate what God is doing, cast vision, and make sure we’re aligned as we serve the next generation. This will be a morning focused on building confident, connected leaders who are equipped and empowered to serve the next generation!
We really hope you’ll make plans to be there! GO TEAM!
We are partnering once again with the Clio Area Human Services Fund to help stock the Safety Net Store—a vital resource for our local community. We will be collecting non-perishable food items and household essentials to help keep their shelves full and serve those in need. Donations may be dropped off at the church during office hours or on Sundays. This is the same organization we partnered with during the Christmas season, and we’re grateful to continue supporting a ministry that makes such a meaningful impact in our community.

Ash Wednesday Event

The traditional starting day of the Lent season (the 40 day period of reflection and fasting leading up to Good Friday and Easter) is Ash Wednesday. For those who wish to participate in this ancient Christian observance, New Covenant will be hosting an Ash Wednesday Experience. There will be several stations set up which you can visit at your own pace, and will allow you to explore the history of the celebration, the meaning of the various elements, the purpose of Lent, some suggestions for how you can observe it yourself, as well as a station where you can receive the ashes if you wish. As with all Christian celebrations and observances, participation is completely optional, but also deeply personal. If you do plan to observe the Lent season, this somber and quiet experience is the perfect way to start it off with the proper heart and mind set. This will be held this Wednesday, February 18th from 6-8:30pm and you are welcome to come and visit the stations at any point during that timeframe.

prayer gathering

Join us for our monthly Prayer Gathering, held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7PM. This is a dedicated time to come together, seek God, and lift up our church, community, and one another in prayer. Open to everyone—come as you are and be encouraged as we pray together.

Covenant Hearts

Ladies, you’re invited to a special Covenant Hearts Luncheon on Saturday, February 21st at 11:00 AM. This gathering is for widows to come together for fellowship, encouragement, and warm conversation over a delicious lunch.
All are welcome! Please RSVP to Jill Lutz at 810-922-6815 to let us know you’re coming. We look forward to sharing this beautiful time with you!

MUDHOUSE MISSION

B.L.E.S.S. THE BLOCK

Join the family ministry team

This winter, we are excited to support Carriage Town Ministries, an organization dedicated to serving those experiencing homelessness in our community with dignity, compassion, and hope. Through shelter, meals, and life-changing programs, Carriage Town walks alongside individuals as they work toward stability and restoration.
You can be part of this mission in a simple way—every drink purchased in the Mudhouse helps support Carriage Town Ministries. Throughout the months of January, February, & March you can grab a drink, invite a friend, and help make a difference, one cup at a time.
The B.L.E.S.S. The Block program equips individuals and families to host neighborhood block parties as a way of building community and embodying God’s love where we live, work, learn, and play. You can reserve the items you would like to use below.
Our Family Ministries Department is looking for caring, committed volunteers who want to invest in the lives of children and families. Whether you love teaching, encouraging, organizing, or simply showing up with a smile, there’s a place for you to serve. Join us in creating a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment where families can grow together. Sign up today and be part of something that matters.
